Job Is Done ("the Service") is operated by Francois Rivoire, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
From your Google account, when you sign in. Your Google account identifier, email address and display name. We use Google solely to identify you. We never receive your Google password, and we request no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts or any other Google service.
Your CV. The PDF you upload. We extract its text and store that text, so that jobs can be scored against it. The text includes whatever your CV contains, which will normally be your employment history, education and contact details.
What you do in the Service. Which jobs you mark as applied to, rejected from, or not interested in, and the filters you save as your defaults.
Technical data. Standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address and browser type.
We do not collect special category data, and we ask you not to include any in your CV: health information, and details of your race, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation.
Why, and on what basis
We process your data to provide the Service: to sign you in, to score jobs against your CV, and to remember which jobs you have dealt with. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you. Without this data there is no service to give you.
Server logs are kept on the basis of legitimate interests, namely keeping the Service running and secure.
Who can see it
You can see everything in your own account.
The operator (Francois Rivoire) can see all accounts, including your CV text and job activity, through an administrator view. This is how the Service is supported and how problems get diagnosed. No other user can see your data.
No other person or company receives your CV. In particular, your CV is not sent to any third-party AI service. Job matching is computed on our own infrastructure.

Job descriptions shown in the Service are collected from employers' public careers pages. They are not personal data about you.
How long we keep it
Your account and CV are kept for as long as your account exists. Delete a CV in the Profile tab and its text, and every score computed from it, are removed immediately. Ask us to close your account and we will delete it, and everything in it, within 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We set one cookie, which keeps you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
